Most standard USB devices will also receive a charge (DC 5V/500mA). 1-DIN HD Radio Receiver The XHD6425 features a 1.0 DIN chassis with an anti-theft detachable face. A black/white dot matrix display and rotary encoder control make navigating the device a snap. HD Radio Tuner With the XHD6425's built-in HD Radio tuner, you'll enjoy static-free, digital-quality sound over the airwaves. Both HD2 and HD3 FM multicast channels are supported, and broadcasted info like station name, artist and song title on HD Radio channels is displayed. You can also select the confirmation beep for changing settings/presets/etc. Great Sound The XHD6425 features an on-board processor that will improve the sound of your compressed MP3/WMA files. Most helpful customer reviews 117 of 119 people found the following review helpful. Features abound with a few minor questions of Steve, like most other reviewers, I am very impressed with what I got for my money. I bought the XHD6425 and Bluetooth add-on. They were installed in my 2000 Ford Explorer about a month ago. I do not want to write a review until I had some time to work with the device and see the positive and negative. The good news is known, HD radio, cheap bluetooth options, available USB port and a 3.5mm auxiliary jack. So let go, both good and bad for each. HD Radio - Very nice. I will not lie, I did not know what to expect. I usually get excellent reception here in NYC. So I was floored by the sound quality? No, not really. But it * is * better. It's also nice to get the second or third HD feed to see the same frequency. I was not aware of that when I bought it. Any negatives? Not really. It is a great feature nice feature. I also like that it's created, so it is only for HD channels Bluetooth scans - Well I was very excited about this for two reasons. One thing was clear. I wanted to connect my phone to the Head Unit (HU) to make and receive calls. If this is concerned, it was great. Pairing was a breeze with my VZW Treo 700p. The second reason was that this unit has handled the situation, A2DP Bluetooth stereo. It worked well. I could not stream Bluetooth audio from my phone and Bluetooth-enabled MP3 player. I can either on the device itself or HU to control playback. Very cute. Any negatives here? Yes, one way or another. BT features you can not import your phone book so you can either start a call on your cell phone or dial the number of HU. Call HU is interesting, but not wise. They use the radio preset buttons and a few other buttons on the HU. They are too small and it is very disturbing. This is a fairly small problem that I have my cell phone onto a ProClip vent mounted on the AC, but others may have a problem here. Also ending a call requires you to press the mute button on the HU for three seconds. This is stupid. You should be able, by the telephone icon to disconnect the BT module. But no. BT button on the receiver is to accept a call, never-ending one. Not a deal breaker, but disappointing. Available USB port - Genius. I can use it to load using any device with a USB charging cable. Including my work Blackberry. I can use a USB memory stick and it works great. Negative here? Yes. Music files is a chore. Not funny at all. I'm not using this option, I control my MP3 player to use, or by BT or the AUX port, but also should be mentioned here. Ports - Once again, awesome. Simple function that should be on the radio. Is exactly what it should do. You only buy a single 3.5 5 mm cable from Radio Shack or other places and you can connect any audio features high-tech or low tech you will have non-negative. It works just great. Device Type ... Nice. But there are some usability problems. By default sound is a kind of weak in my opinion. I do not listen to things too loud, but it was still softer than they prefer. Setting the "loudness" to "ON" in the presets, but almost too much. Again, it's all a matter of preference. And 'subjective. I would also like the radio better saved forms. They can be hard to hit and go from the sides. 1 and 2 share the same button, so you have to hit the edges and center. It's annoying. As others have said you can not dim the display, but that does not bother me. One last thing is the specific machine, but still a problem. My car has steering wheel controls, which I use to control volume, switch radio band, CD and cassette and switch between preset radio stations (or tracks). I tried to keep intact much of this functionality with the purchase of a kit separately IR control the steering wheel CAP.
