Very good and simple car stereo. By Alejandro Mora I wanted a replacement for my very old car stereo because it didn't have anyway of hooking up my iPod. The previous stereo was a very old Sony Explode, it worked great for many years but it was time to move on to better things. And here I was back at Amazon for another Sony Explode. A great and simple removable faceplate with an AUX input (regular mini-jack) to connect my iPod. I also feel it gets much better radio reception/tunning and all in all it sounds great and loud enough for most people. I personally don't like to feel my entire car vibrate when listening to music, nor do I care to share my music with my entire neighborhood as I drive by. So, check it out. It doesn't have all the amazing features you can find, but for the price it's great. 1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Great, might upgrade By Harald Anderson I got this for my old Ford pickup, and (apart from removing the old radio) installation was easy. I didn't have a harness converter, but the directions identified the wires well enough for me to make my own. One thing I would suggest that is not in the instructions is to reassemble the dashboard before inserting the support frame, as the black outside ring didn't fit the slot, but would have sat nicely on the face of the dashboard (I just left it off). This is a great unit that sounds great. My only complaint is that while it reads CD text, it doesn't capture MP3 text from the radio (so you can see what song is playing). I might someday look for a model that does that. See all 6 customer reviews...
