Base excellent replacement for the factory radio at a low cost by replacing the IN Bagby died, the factory radio in my 2005 Hyundai Elantra dull with this Kenwood. For the price of U.S. $ 100, I'm impressed. The unit sounds as good as it sounds. Even with the factory speakers, the improvement is impressive to the factory radio. It has lots of energy and two preamp outputs (rare on the radio lower prices), which is ready for an amp and sub, I do not see myself adding one, but it's there. It plays your MP3 and WMA CD with ease. The loading time is fast and also has a feature that improves the frequency response of low bit rate MP3 files. The remote is a nice touch, again, not very common in low-end radios. What I like is the VFD. You can read this text bright and clear to all appearances, and unlike LCD, VFD in the "dark" in extreme heat, or "delay" in extreme cold. I love the retro look of the VFD to appreciate but really the bright bold that reads simply mounted in front of 1 / 8 line is a plus, and the blue backlighting for easy night to connect my MD Walkman do on the spot. What really impressed me is the quality of the tuner. FM front is one of the best I've ever used. I hear the factory radio was deaf to very good selectivity. While driving in downtown Atlanta at the end 100kW dozen FM, Kenwood never surpassed. I listened to a station located over 70 miles of Macon with ease, could not bypass the factory radio and would be overwhelmed by the nearby stations. The quality of FM is excellent, excellent frequency response and S / N ratio. AM is pretty hot as well. It is a good choice for FM DX'ing. MOSFET has a lot of power 22W x 4, and drive most speakers easily but must be careful when using the factory speakers that this amount of energy that can easily overwhelm the installation is simple as it is with all DIN radio 02:01. In my Hyundai, I had to use a single batch so there was no difference in the fascia board. Most of Toyota, Nissan, Honda installed and must be less than 30 minutes if you have the correct wiring adapter. Hats off to Kenwood, for the price I am more than satisfied. Take more VFD! Real clean sound crystal clear and the bass boost EQ top will make any big stereo speakers. Easy to navigate controls, looks very nice with light blue background. Perfect for an iPod and a decent price for such high quality. Hughes, I was looking for a simple CD player to an old Blaupunkt cassette player, which lasted an incredible 14 years to replace. This device has features that I will never use, but powerful amplifier is the best feature.
